I like your oil paintings, I have a small wish to try different kinds of painting one day too, not anytime soon and I also have absolutely no experience with different medias.
Lovely work!

You are very kind and I thank you for your comment and all the favs:hug:
Hope you do continue with your art.  I tried different medias and ended up preferring oils.  Because oils take time to dry, you are able to correct your mistakes.  The most exact medium is stained glass - my, my that was difficult:)

You're welcome :)
And I thank you too, for everything, for feedback and the faves!
I definitely don't plan to stop drawing, I remember that I always thought I'll switch to brushes and paint after a while but now I like this way the most, but some experimenting is in order of course!
Thank you for all the information!
I'm looking forward to see more of your art ^^

I simply find the colors adorable.
Carolyn, I am asking myself if you have painted this from a photograph since IMHO the angle is just that of a relative longer focus lens ?!
Anyhow a new masterpiece of your valuable creation !!!

Thank you, Riki:hug:  Yes, my niece took the photo while on vacation (I believe) in the state of North Carolina and asked me to paint it.  When I use the palette knife, I tend to be more aggressive and have more value with the paintings; am more conservative with the brushes - it's crazy!!:)

Carlotyn,

First I am glad that my guess succeeded to become a BINGO.

Secondly, I dare assume, despite the fact that I personally lack completely of any talent or inclination in painting, the technique of using the knife imposes (at least partially) this "  aggresivity" (like van Gogh and other great painters) you were reffering to ...
