It's been another rough year.  I lost my dear daughter to cancer.  Her body rejected the bone marrow transplant.  It's been three months since she passed away.  I'm working through the healing process.  To help, I wrote a book.  It's a young adult mystery story.  The first in a series I hope to write.

Hello Everybody,  First of all a great big THANK YOU SO MUCH for your continued interest, concern, notes, comments, favs, etc.  I have missed you all too and have come in periodically to see and enjoy your latest works.  It allowed me to forget for a short while real life stuff.

To sum up the last two years, it was a bit rough.  My dear husband died in June; his brother died in July; and my brother died in August.  All three suffered long illnesses and at the end were under hospice care - a wonderful organization.  My daughter was diagnosed with brain cancer.  After chemo treatments and a bone marrow transplant, she is now cancer free but still suffering from after effects.  My son was the bone marrow donor.  

I haven't painted for 2 years.  I'm in the missing everybody mode - including you all thus the desire to write.  I know that everybody has problems and ours was a full plate but we survived and life goes on.  I spend a lot of time with my 3 grandchildren.  They are a delight.

Now about you guys - great works you're doing and it's so nice to know you're active.  I will be back one day when the mood hits me.  Thinking of you all and thank you again...   Carolyn

Dear Friends, A note to let you know that my absence will continue for (I hope) a short while.  Life is taking up all my time. And as you know everyday missed on dA, the backlog piles up.  I hope to return soon to enjoy your wonderful art.  In the meantime, thank you so much for your beautiful comments, favs, features, notes and caring... I fear that I will be absent from dA for a little longer.  I am painting but am spending most of my time writing a memoir that I may never finish  I'll be back posting paintings and catching up with favs.  Can't miss out on your art.  In the meantime sending you all big hugs
